PDXpert PLM V16.1 Released: Enhanced Collaboration and Improved User Experience
July 5, 2024 — We're pleased to announce the release of PDXpert PLM Version 16.1.3301.6 (V16.1), delivering significant improvements to user interface functionality, collaboration features, and PDX package capabilities that enhance your daily PLM workflows.
Key Enhancements in V16.1
Improved User Interface and Visibility
V16.1 introduces enhanced password management with new show/hide functionality for better usability, along with improved list management where all tabs now display item counts for instant data visibility. The interface also features streamlined navigation with improved refresh capabilities to ensure you always see the most current information.
Enhanced PDX Package Capabilities
This release delivers advanced export options with new filtering and settings for more flexible package creation, plus improved organization tracking for better identification of package ownership and contacts. Enhanced change documentation provides more comprehensive change tracking throughout your workflows.
Collaboration and Workflow Improvements
V16.1 features enhanced change management with improved workflow tracking when changes move between different states, along with a streamlined data export process. The release also includes improved search capabilities that provide more reliable functionality across different data types.
Technical Infrastructure Updates
V16.1 includes important backend improvements:
- Database Modernization: Default database upgraded to SQL Server LocalDB Express V16
- Enhanced Diagnostics: Improved logging for search indexing operations
- Updated Dependencies: Latest package dependencies for improved stability and security
Critical Security Update (V16.1.3304.6)
In August 2024, we released a critical update (V16.1.3304.6) featuring new cryptographic signatures, code signing, and enhanced license support. This update also includes signed and password-protected PDX packets for improved security with PDXplorer integration.
Important: Customers upgrading to V16.1.3304.6 require a new license file, provided at no cost to all active customers.
