Setup: System rules
The system rules start with the most useful values.
However, examine each rule to understand its impact on your organization's PLM procedures. One of the most important is the General: Item uniqueness specified by... system rule.
From the Tools menu, selectSystem Rules...
On the System Rules tool, select the appropriate page to view the rule setting.
Save any changes that you make: Item ➔ Save orCtrl+S
